THDCIL’s Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project Successfully organised Marathon 3.0

THDC India Limited’s prestigious 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) organized its third edition of the Marathon event on 31st March 2024, emphasizing its commitment towards holistic well-being, healthy life and community engagement. Employees from all departments participated with great enthusiasm in the 10 KM Marathon, led by Sh. Ajay Verma, the Project Head and Chief General Manager.
The scenic route, starting from Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pipalkoti, witnessed energetic participation from VPHEP employees who ran 10 KM from Pipalkoti to Pankhi, Garud Ganga, and back. Sh. Himanshu Aswal, Senior Manager (HR Est.) from the Corporate Office in Rishikesh, attended the event as an observer and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of wellness.
Sh. Ajay Verma addressed the gathering, underlining the importance of physical and mental well-being in an individual's life. He praised the active involvement of the employees and urged them to participate in such events regularly to promote a culture of fitness and solidarity within the organization.
Several notable personalities, including Sh. K.P. Singh (AGM, TBM&PH), Sh. P.S. Rawat (AGM, Dam) and Sh. J.S. Bisht (AGM, Mach., Social & Envt.) along with Heads of Departments, joined the Marathon, setting a great example for the workforce. The HR&A Department team, led by Sh. V.D. Bhatt, impeccably managed the event. The team included Sh. Y.S. Chauhan (Dy. Manager), Sh. D.S. Makhloga (Officer), Sh. Avinash Kumar (Executive Trainee), Sh. Naveen Kumar Verma (Executive Trainee), and Ankit Kumar Jha (Executive Trainee). They received commendable support from other dedicated team members.
Employees expressed their gratitude to THDCIL for organizing the Marathon, acknowledging its role in promoting not only physical well-being but also camaraderie and team spirit within the VPHEP family. The successful Marathon reinforced VPHEP's commitment to wellness and community engagement, setting a benchmark for holistic well-being.
