Tehri Hydro Power Complex (2400 MW)
Tehri Hydro Power Complex (HPC) is a multipurpose hydro power complex developed by THDC India Limited (THDCIL) on the Bhagirathi River in Uttarakhand. With a total installed capacity of 2,400 MW, the complex comprises Tehri HPP (1,000 MW), Koteshwar HEP (400 MW) and Tehri Pumped Storage Plant (1,000 MW). The complex supports peak power generation, irrigation and drinking-water requirements of the region and contributes significantly to grid balancing and renewable energy integration.

Tehri Hydro Power Plant (1000MW)
Tehri Hydro Power Plant (HPP) is a storage-based hydropower project comprising a 260.5 m high earth and rockfill dam across the River Bhagirathi and an underground powerhouse equipped with four 250 MW Francis turbine-generator units. Commissioned during 2006–07, Tehri HPP provides valuable peaking power to the Northern region of the country and supports the irrigation and drinking-water requirements in the region. The reservoir has also contributed to flood moderation during periods of heavy rainfall.
